Hogwarts: Wizards Supreme

Chapter 96 Entering the Secret Room

"Then why didn't Dumbledore tell everyone to prepare a pair of glasses?" Harry felt a little weird.

"Obviously, that is of no use. It will only alert the snake." Brian said softly, "It is better to pretend not to know. You know, the basilisk can not only kill people by staring, its fangs and body are the most powerful A deadly weapon."

Harry nodded thoughtfully.

"Of course, this is just my guess." Brian shook his head helplessly, "Maybe Dumbledore has other considerations."

"Okay, then, are we going down?" Harry took a deep breath and said, "Fred might be down there."

Ron whimpered: "Harry, stop talking..." He couldn't think of the possibility that Fred could survive in the mouth of such a monster.

"But... we have to try... we can't give up on him." Harry said dryly. He always held on to a small glimmer of hope that Fred was still alive.

Brian blinked dully as he watched the two people arguing about whether to go down. Did they really not consider the obvious fact that there was still a professor at Hogwarts?

"Let them alone." Brian thought indifferently. Not going to the professor was just what he wanted, because he knew with all his ass that Tom must be spying on them with that model in the secret room. This may be one of the reasons why Tom is not in a hurry to escape Hogwarts, but stays in the secret room.

Although they made an unbreakable oath, to be honest, if you are a sensible enough person, you should stay away from here immediately, find a place to secretly develop, and plan to resurrect. After all, oaths are not necessarily without loopholes.

Of course, Tom is not a rational person, on the contrary, he is incredibly arrogant. But he wasn't stupid either. Obviously if he saw someone going to find the professor, he would have enough time to escape from the secret room. There is more than one exit from the secret room, the basilisk always has a passage for feeding.

"Ron, we are just looking for Fred. We are in class now and the heir is not in there. This is a good opportunity!"

"We can go find the professor!"

"But the professors are all in class... If we alert the enemy, the heir may come back first to kill Fred... In this way, he will really be dead!"

"Okay, I'll go too."

After seeing the two people reaching an agreement, Brian sighed.

"Did Dumbledore say anything before he left?" he asked. Going straight down is always not safe enough.

Harry was stunned and said, "He said that at Hogwarts, those who need help will always get it."

"Can you try asking him for help?" Brian smiled.

"How is this possible, Foley? Dumbledore left..." Harry said lonely.

"You have to try no matter what, otherwise I won't let you go down." Brian took out his wand.

"Okay, let me try?" Harry looked at the wand spinning in Brian's hand and twitched the corner of his mouth. He thought it was ridiculous and stupid.

"Dumbledore, Dumbledore...what should I do?" He murmured with his eyes closed, feeling that his behavior was a bit foolish.

After a long time, when they gradually lost their patience, a sweet song sounded in their ears. The music was ethereal, ethereal, mysterious, and exciting. They looked around but didn't see anything.

The singing gradually disappeared, but it filled people with confidence and courage.

Brian smiled, thinking that Dumbledore was indeed paying attention to Harry.

All the stories he had made up before were not to hide Harry and the two little brats, but to hide Dumbledore in the dark.

"Okay, let's go down." Brian said, "I'll go too, after all, it's probably because of me..."

Harry and Ron nodded, the Phoenix's song making them excited and confident.

They slid down the water pipe, rushed through the twists and turns of the long pipe, and finally slid out of the pipe mouth smoothly.

"We must be several miles deep below the school." Harry said breathlessly as he circled the dark tunnel around him.

"Probably at the bottom of the lake." Ron narrowed his eyes and said.

"Lumos!" Harry's wand glowed brightly. He said: "Let's go."

"Weasley, put on these glasses, so you don't die accidentally." Brian handed Ron a pair of ordinary glasses.

Ron hesitated, then took it and mumbled in a barely audible voice: "Thank you."

Brian smiled, turned the wand in his hand, and squinted at the familiar corridors around him.

"Fly, does wearing glasses really prevent you from being killed by a basilisk? Moaning Myrtle also wears glasses..." Harry asked softly.

"Okay, I think when Myrtle was crying in the bathroom, she should have taken off her glasses." Brian thought, "However, there is a chance that the basilisk's glare will destroy the spectacle lenses. This can be easily solved , just add an indestructible spell."

"Uh... you, do you know this spell?" Harry said unnaturally.

"Of course." Brian smiled and helped cast the spell on both men's glasses.

"Thank you, Foley," Harry said.

Brian said softly: "I'm just making up for the mistakes I made."

"I think you're not too wrong. If you hadn't taken that diary away, maybe Ginny..." Harry whispered, tugging at Ron's robe with one hand.

"Ahem, okay, thank you..." Ron said.

"Now is not the time to talk about this. Let's wait until everything is settled." Brian said softly, his voice echoing in the tunnel, appearing ethereal.

"Yes, but Dumbledore must be by our side." Harry encouraged everyone.

"Remember, whenever there is any movement, close your eyes quickly..." He whispered again.

The tunnel was as silent as a tomb, but there were bones of small animals everywhere on the ground. When they stepped on them, they would make a "click-click" sound, which made the two little wizards extremely nervous.

When they turned a corner and discovered the huge coiled snake skin, the two little wizards couldn't help but stop.

"A snakeskin." Brian said.

"Oh my God!" Ron almost screamed, trembling and jumping behind Harry.

"What...what's wrong?" Harry said dryly, speaking a little less fluently.

"Spiders! So many spiders..." Ron whimpered. What he fears most is spiders.

Brian glanced at the ground behind the snake skin, where countless giant spider corpses were piled. Their long furry legs stretched out to point to the sky, and countless dull eyes seemed to be staring at them.

"It's the body of a spider..." Brian frowned. There were no bodies like these here before.

He walked over and inspected the corpses of these spiders. They were as big as a cart horse, with eight dark, hairy long legs, and eight huge black eyes.

There were no external injuries on each spider's body, but all of them had lost their lives. They were piled here haphazardly, occupying the entire passage.

"Could it be the basilisk?" Brian pondered. "The basilisk is the natural enemy of spiders, because spiders have many eyes that cannot be closed. They have a 360-degree field of vision, and it is difficult to avoid seeing the basilisk's eyes... But , why does the basilisk kill them?"

"Well... is it because of Tom?" Brian thought thoughtfully, "It seems that Tom is not unprepared for this night."

He thought the spiders might have become Tom's life force.

But now that it's been confirmed that Dumbledore is watching, perhaps following behind secretly, Tom's end is already doomed.

Three people walked among the spider's corpse.

"Oh, no...oh, god..." Ron squeaked, his face livid.

"Ron, these are dead spiders," Harry comforted.

"I know...but..." Ron muttered in a trembling tone, and then suddenly started shaking as if he had epilepsy. A small surviving spider the size of a Quaffle crawled up his leg.

Ron tried his best to throw the little spider away, gasping for air and looking forward with a pale face.

There, lying was the corpse of a spider as big as an elephant. The eight eyes on its ugly head with big claws were all covered with a layer of white. It was obviously blind.

Its eight milky-white eyes seemed to be glaring at them fiercely, and its body was covered with traces of bites and entanglements. Only three of its eight spider legs were left, and its entire body was deformed, looking very miserable and terrifying.

"It seems that Hagrid's spider friends have been taken away in one fell swoop." Brian sighed in his heart.
