She slowly walked up towards Dante as she placed her hand on his chest and whispered cutlery into his ear.

"I want you to kill someone."

The second Dante heard this, the faint smile on his face quickly disappeared. He wasn't naive enough to be fooled by princess Levina's fake cute appearance and quickly distanced himself from her.

"Miss Levina, I hope you're not forgetting your identity. If there's someone you want dead that even you can't kill, isn't asking me to do something the same as sending me to death?"

As Levina heard Dante's complaints, she placed her hand over her mouth and chuckled.

"My, my. Lord Dragon Son, the tales of your bravery and valiance are still being sung throughout the capital till his day and here you are being so cowardly. I have to say, I wasn't expecting this."

As Dante heard Levina's words, a frown appeared on his face.

"I think you have something mistaken, princess Levina. I'm not a coward, but I'm not an idiot either. I still have common sense, so I won't send myself to death. If that is all you have come to say today, then please leave my princess."

Faced with Dante's strong and unwavering refusal, Princess Levina knew that she couldn't afford to joke around any longer.

"There is no need to jump to conclusions quite yet," said Princess Levina.

"You may b4e right in the fact that I can't kill them but the reason is not what you think. It's not that they are too strong or are in a position of power. The reason I can't kill them is that my grandfather doesn't want to. You should know by now that my strongest backer is my grandfather and most of my subordinates come from his forces. If he really doesn't want to kill someone, then my hands are basically tied"

As Dante heard this, he couldn't help but feel a little curious.

"Grandfather Hendrix doesn't want to kill this person? Who could it be that moved him so much?"

As she heard Dante's question, a poisonous smile appeared on Princess Levina's face

"It's a member of the royal family."

"Hisss!"

As Dante heard Levina's words, he took a cold breath.

'Damn! This young lady is way crazier than I initially thought. She really wants to kill a member of the royal family!'

'If she's caught, this will be a major stain on her record!'

Although Dante reacted strongly, killing amongst the royal family wasn't forbidden. After all, the current king did the exact same thing in order to get to where he was today. The problem was that if you were caught, you would be greatly shunned amongst the royal family and quickly fall out of favour with the king.

This could be enough to push her out of the inheritance race or at the very least, kick her out of the leading spot.

Say what you will about Princess Levina, but she was definitely ruthless enough. She wasn't even afraid to risk it all to kill her own kin.

Taking a moment to accept what he just heard, Dante turned towards Levina and asked.

"So who is it that you want to kill?"

"The person I want dead is my sister. Well, my step sister to be exact."

"She's the daughter of a concubine that's only a few years older than me and was married off to a neighbouring country to help further improve our diplomatic relationship."

"Unfortunately, she seems to be returning to the country, and the problem is that my intelligence says that she's been very close to Prince Lloyd since they were kids, so she's a strong member of his faction. It's to the point where she seems to want to negotiate some cross-country deals using members of Prince Lloyd's faction as help. This could even bring helpers from the neighbouring country to assist his cause."

Although Dante knew it was a stupid question, he still couldn't help but ask.

"Although the deal may not benefit you directly, won't the deal still benefit the Vaenam kingdom as a whole?"

The second he said that, Dante felt the cold eyes of princess Levina pierce through him.

The charming and flirtatious appearance from before faded into the air like the facade it always was.

"So what if it benefits the country?" Asked Levina coldly

"If I can't have it, no one will."

"The deal will only bring problems to my sister, who needs to be killed before it turns into a much bigger issue."

Looking at the ruthless appearance of princess Levina, Dante was once again reminded of her ruthless nature and once again took it as a reminder not to be fooled by any appearance she ever put on.

"So how do you plan for me to kill this person?" Asked Dante

"You don't have to worry about that." Said Princess Levina.

"I have already planned everything."

"Informants on the side of Prince Lloyd have already told me the day that she will be travelling towards the capital. She wanted to be subtle, so she is moving with only a small amount of guards. There should only be one weak martial adept present. The plan is to assonance her a distance away from the capital 2 weeks from now. As long as you come and help me there shouldn't be much difficulty."

As Dante knew more of  the details of the assassination, he went into thought.

Princess Levina had already clearly thought things through and with her meticulous personality there really shouldn't be any issues, but even though he knew this, Dante was still hesitant.

Killing a member of the royal family was no joke.

It was a crime of treason of the highest order and could get not only him, but his entire family hung and killed.

Dante thought about it for a while and still couldn't reach a conclusion yet, so he turned back towards Princess Levina.

"I can agree to help in the assassination attempt as long as you can give me some death elemental treasures of at least the martial adept rank."
